To coincide with Russian Art Week in London, the third exhibition to be announced by Collection Red explores the essence of summer in the artist’s work. The exhibition aims to showcase the individual artist’s associations with the Season as an inspiration in their art and its diffraction through different cultures and experiences to create unique and profound works.
‘Summer Fusion’ aims to fuse the works of Collection Red’s artists with a selection of guest artists of the Russian School of Painting, invited to take part in this exhibition by director Irina Karatcheva. Collection Red is delighted to be once again staging ‘Summer Fusion’ in collaboration with the representative offices of the Rossotrudnichestvo, following the success of the previous ‘Prologue’ exhibition. “The exhibition promises to be very airy and light with the visiting artists adding a real fusion of new emotions and expressions to the collection” says director Irina Karatcheva. “Some of the invited artists have never before exhibited in the UK, and it will be interesting to see the public’s take on their artwork, some of it deeply rooted in the artists native lands.” Amongst the participating artists, Alexandr Telalim will exhibit his unique watercolour paintings along with pieces from Jurij Grigorovich’s ‘London’ series following his hugely successful ‘Borders’ exhibition in February, as well as some new works from Olga Geoghegan’s skilful and emotive oil paintings. Artists Olga Geoghegan, Shandor Zicherman and Alexandr Telalim will be attending the opening of the exhibition on Tuesday 4th June from 6pm at the offices of the Rossotrudnichestvo and will be available to discuss their works.
